The next generation of customer service centres is coming to Bundamba with work continuing on the new Transport and Main Roads facility on Brisbane Road.
Member for Bundamba Lance McCallum said an inclusive design would ensure the new centre could be accessed by people of all ages and mobility levels.
"Catering for the needs of our diverse community will provide a safe, functional and accessible customer service experience for everyone,” Mr McCallum said.
“The fit-out is underway and will be completed with assistive furniture and flexible workspaces that will allow our TMR workers to sit or stand depending on customer requirements.
“Quadric Pty Ltd in working collaboratively with PDT Architects to deliver this great project for our local community.
“It’s great to see this new centre take shape, and I look forward to it providing our local community with higher service levels than ever before.
“Along with the brand-new TMR centre, the Palaszczuk Government is also investing in the $34 million accessibility upgrade of the nearby Bundamba train station, further supporting our commuters with safe and inclusive transport options.”
