- 15 Ipswich community organisations will share in almost $900,000 under the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Funding.
- Funding will assist community support services, the upgrade of community centres, sporting facilities, and more.
Fifteen Ipswich community and not-for-profit groups will receive a share in almost $900,000 thanks to the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Yvette D’Ath congratulated the successful organisations.
Grants will be used to purchase medical equipment for the Ipswich Hospital Foundation and Mareeba & Communities Family Healthcare Ltd., and gazebos for the Ipswich North State School Parents and Citizens Association.
Other successful organisations to receive grant funding include:
- Kambu Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Health, Ipswich - $100,000 to purchase a mobile health clinic.
- Guides Queensland, Goodna Girl Guides, Bundamba - $100,000 to construct amenities including a storage shed, pathways and roof repair.
- Rosewood State School Parents and Citizens Association – $87,800 to purchase IT equipment
The next round of grant applications will commence mid September and close at midnight on 30 November 2024.
