29 October 2020

Bundamba MP Lance McCallum has today announced Redbank State School will benefit from a $500,000 upgrade under a re-elected Palaszczuk Labor Government.

Mr McCallum said the commitment would fund the construction of a new outdoor learning area as well as general refurbishments and more resources for the school’s 170 students.

“The Palaszczuk Labor Government continues to back our local schools, students and staff with funding for new and upgraded facilities across our community,” Mr McCallum said.

“This is great news for our local community, and I’m proud to be part of a government that continues to deliver real results both in and out of the classroom by listening to our teachers and local school communities to meet the ongoing needs of our students.

“Our commitment to world-class education has seen new schools open in Ripley Valley, Bellbird Park and Redbank Plains, and upgrades at our local schools from Goodna to Bundamba.

“Investing in education is a key part of our plan for economic recovery, supporting future generations of Queenslanders who will continue to lead our great state forward.”
