New bus services are supporting students at the rapidly growing Ripley Valley State Secondary College.
The 5265AM, 5248AM, 5271AM, 6265PM, 6248PM and 6271PM routes now run five minutes behind existing services, while the new 6272PM complements the 6240PM, providing additional capacity.
The existing 5206AM and 6206PM routes have been extended into the Ecco Ripley community.
Member for Bundamba Lance McCallum said the new and extended services were supporting one of South-East Queensland’s leading growth regions.
“There continues to be significant uptake in enrolments at Ripley Valley State Secondary College, given how rapidly our region is growing,” Mr McCallum said.
“We’re committed to helping our local students get to school safely and on time, and these new and extended routes are doing just that.
“I encourage parents and students to jump online and check out the improved travel options, and also to purchase a go card for fast, easy and convenient travel without cash or paper tickets.
“Go cards for students aged between five and 14 and concession go cards for secondary students 15 years or older are available at local retailers, bus stops and train stations.”
