Bundamba’s brand-new Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centre is now open at 28 Brisbane Road.
A $2.4 million investment in an accessible, inclusive and comfortable customer experience, the centre offers licensing, registration and other transport and motoring services.
Member for Bundamba Lance McCallum said the open plan design featured flexible, functional spaces that could adapt to the individual needs of all customers.
“This represents the next generation of Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centres – it sets new standards and will be the benchmark for new and upgraded centres as we continue to offer better services across Queensland,” Mr McCallum said.
“There is disability parking with direct access to the front of the centre via a ramp, along with a dedicated carpark off Webb Street, where additional signage will soon be installed.
“All the staff are incredibly excited and enthusiastic about their new workplace, with those who previously worked at other centres absolutely blown away by the design and fit out.”
Transport and Main Roads Minister Mark Bailey said the centre was part of the Palaszczuk Government’s ongoing investment in Ipswich.
“We want all customers to have easy and safe access to our services and a positive experience when visiting us,” Mr Bailey said.
"Ample off-street parking, dedicated mobility parking bays and nearby public transport make this a convenient and accessible location for all Ipswich residents to complete their in-person transport and motoring transactions.”
The Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centre at 28 Brisbane Road, Bundamba is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm and Wednesday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
