New TMR centre set to open in November

24 October 2022

The brand-new $2.4 million Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centre at Bundamba is set to open to the community next month.

Member for Bundamba Lance McCallum said the 14 November opening would follow a full fit out to deliver an accessible, inclusive and comfortable customer experience for all.

"We've continued to meet community needs by developing a customer service centre for different mobility types and have broadened this scope by reviewing how we deliver better services for our local community," Mr McCallum said.

“This is the next generation of TMR Customer Service Centres, with an inviting open plan, an abundance of natural light and flexible, functional spaces that can adapt to the individual needs of all customers.

“There is a dedicated carpark off Webb Street, as well as disability parking with direct access to the front of the centre via a ramp.

"Services like driver and industry licensing and registration will be offered at the Bundamba centre, while other services like driving tests and pre-registration inspection services for trailers, caravans and large vehicles will continue to be provided at the Ipswich Customer Service Centre.”

Transport and Main Roads Minister Mark Bailey said TMR workers were already excited about moving into the new two-storey premises.

“This is a great outcome for customers and workers, and a wonderful addition to the local Ipswich community,” Mr Bailey said.

“I’d like to thank Lance for his strong advocacy in bringing this customer service centre to Bundamba – I can’t wait to see it in full operation.”

The new Transport and Main Roads Bundamba Customer Service Centre is at 28 Brisbane Road, Bundamba.
