Parliamentary Petition to Connect Eagle Street

• Lance McCallum MP and local residents are calling on the Crisafulli Government and Ipswich City Council to connect Eagle Street across Goodna Creek.
  
  
• Despite being on the 2018 and 2025 Ipswich Local Government Infrastructure Plan, Eagle St will not be connected before 2036.

Member for Bundamba Lance McCallum is backing a community led call to accelerate plans to connect Eagle Street across Goodna Creek in Collingwood Park.

Eagle Street is a local road, and the connection of Eagle Street across Goodna Creek has been identified in the Ipswich City Council’s Local Government Infrastructure Plan since at least 2018. Despite this, current plans do not schedule the connection before at 2036 at the earliest.

In the meantime, new housing developments continue to be approved and Collingwood Park State Secondary College opened in 2025. 

With construction continuing and further estate developments proposed, the need for this connection is pressing. Completing the Eagle Street link would allow better access to the school, connect Collingwood Park to Redbank Plains, and ease pressure on local roads.
