Performing Arts Centre today
• The new building will provide students with state-of-the-art facilities to explore and
develop their artistic skills
• The Ripley Valley community welcomes the centre as a new events hub in the area
Ripley Valley State Secondary College officially opened its new $22.9 million (including
GST) Performing Arts Centre (PAC) today.
The new two-storey PAC includes a range of spaces for performance and training, including
a theatre, multiple practice rooms and studios for acting and dance.
The centre also includes; drama and music learning areas, a multi-media classroom,
amenities, change rooms, storage areas for instruments and costumes, a kiosk and foyer.
The new PAC will also be used by community groups including arts, dance, sports and
church groups.
In addition to the new PAC, the school also celebrated some major building work that has
improved J Block– the school’s science building.
The J Block project included the delivery of new science labs, multiple new classrooms, and
a Health Hub.
