Students, motorists, pedestrians and active transport users will benefit from improved road safety around four local Bundamba schools.
Flashing school zone signs will be installed outside Fernbrooke State School, Ripley Valley State School and Ripley Valley State Secondary College.
Existing footpaths around Riverview State School will also be extended to connect Becker and Bannerman streets.
Member for Bundamba Lance McCallum said the Palaszczuk Government’s ongoing investment in local roads would help students get to and from school safely.
"New flashing school zone signs on Mt Juillerat and Regents drives will support road safety around our local Fernbrooke State School, while the Ripley signs will be installed along the busy Providence Parade," Mr McCallum said.
"At Riverview State School we’re investing in a new footpath to provide improved active transport access via Bannerman Street.
"This is another great result for our local community and follows previous road safety upgrades at Goodna Special School, Bundamba State Secondary College, WoodLinks State School and Bellbird Park State Secondary College."
