Have your say: Remondis waste to energy proposal

Have your say: Remondis waste to energy proposal Main Image

The current proposal by waste company Remondis to build a waste to energy facility at its current site in Swanbank is not appropriate for our rapidly growing community.

There needs to be a greater focus on avoiding the creation of waste altogether, alongside reuse and recycling. We need less waste and more job creating recycling which is better for our community, the environment and the economy.

A job-creating, state-of-the-art recycling facility would be better for our community and our economy, or the project should be moved to a more suitable location away from our fast growing, highly populated urban area.

In September I sent a submission to the Coordinator-General to express these views, and I encourage you to do the same.
